Jonah H. Hendershot

Jonah H. Hendershot, 78, died this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Snyder, of 495 Railroad Avenue, Pen Argyl. He was born in Warren County, NJ, son of the late Mark and Susan Hendershot.
He is survived by the following children; John Hendershot, of Bangor; Alfred Hendershot, of Delabole; Mrs. Ira Shook, of New York City; Mrs. Gertrude Snyder and Mrs. John Perry, both of Penn Argyl; Mrs. Arthur Cressman, of Delaware, NJ; Mrs. Marlyn Getz, of Wind Gap, and Leo P. Hendershot, seaman 2-c U.S. Navy; 54 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Harry Branton, of Pen Argyl ; three brothers, Milton, and Millard Hendershot, of Easton, and David Hendershot, of Bangor.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Snyder, with the Rev. A. S. Leiby, pastor of the Evangelical Reformed Church, officiating. Internment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl.

Rites for Mr. Hendershot

The funeral of Jonah H. Hendershot was held Monday afternoon from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Snyder, of 495 Railroad Avenue, Pen Argyl, with the Rev. A. S. Leiby of the Evangelical Reformed Church officiating. Internment was in Fairview Cemetery.
The following served as pallbearers; Frank Lane Jr., Richard Lane, Warren Lane, Michael Thompson, Alfred Hendershot, Charles Hendershot, Ira Shook, and John Parry.
