David J. Hendershot
David J. Hendershot, 60, a former fireman on the Lehigh and New England Railroad, died yesterday at his home, 201 Bangor Street, Bangor. He had been in poor health for several months.
Mr. Hendershot was born in Pen Argyl, a son of the late Mark and Susan Poyer Hendershot. He had lived in Bangor for 17 years. Prior to his retirement last August, he had been a railroad employee for 20 years. He was a member of the Salvation Army and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen.
Mr. Hendershot is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lottie Parsons Hendershot; three sons, Mark, Leroy, and Willard, all of Bangor; a sister, Mrs. Harry Branton, of Pen Argyl; two brothers, Millard Hendershot, of Pen Argyl and Milton Hendershot, of Easton, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Pullis Funeral Home, Pen Argyl, with Capt. Mary TenEycke, of the Salvation Army, officiating. Internment will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Hendershot Funeral
The funeral of David J. Hendershot, 201 Bangor Street, Bangor, formerly of Pen Argyl, was held yesterday from the Pullis Funeral Home, Pen Argyl, with Capt. Mary TenEycke and Lieut. Alice Stahley, of the Salvation Army, in charge. Internment was in Fairview Cemetery. The following members of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers of the Lehigh and New England Railroad of which the deceased was a member, were pallbearers; William Clementon, Anson Jones, Lloyd Bruch, Robert Rinehart, Earl Butz and Harold Weber.
