PHILLIP BURKHARDT

Phillip Burkhardt, 60, of Liberty Rd, Milton, KY, Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at Baptist Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

He was born June 13, 1942, the son of James and Goldie Brown Burkhardt. He was a self-employed farmer, a former member of the National Guard, and a member of the Mount Byrd Christian Church.

Surviving are his wife; one son; three sisters: private, private, Evelyn Mahoney of Indpls., five brothers: (3 private) & Forrest & Norman Burkhardt; and two grandchildren.

He was preceeded in death by his parents.

Services will be at 2 p m EDT Friday at the Mount Byrd Church, with burial in Moffett Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p m EDT Thursday, and from 9 am to noon EDT Friday, at the church. A private family visitation will be from noon until time of service Friday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, or the Institute for the Blind.

The Wood-Oakley Funeral Home in Milton is in charge of arrangements.

Surviving are his wife, Judy Ginn Burkhardt; one daughter, Jill Tilley of Bedford, Ky.; one son, Troy Burkhardt of Milton; three sisters, Myrtle Purvis of Milton, Delma Richmond of Madison and Evelyn Mahoney of Indianapolis; five brothers, David Burkhardt of Madison, William Burkhardt of Carrollton, Ky., and Norman, Forrest and Larry Burkhardt, all of Milton; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
