Evelyn June Mahoney, 77, of Indianapolis, IN died May 11, 2009. She was born on February 11, 1932 in Milton, KY a daughter of James and Goldie (Brown) Burkhardt. She married Cline Mahoney on July 10, 1954. He survives.
Other survivors include 3 daughters Private, 4 brothers Norman, Private, Private, and Private Burkhardt, 2 sisters Private, and 7 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
She was a member at Southport Presbyterian Church and enjoyed flower and herb gardening, and traveling.
The family would like to thank all the hospice nurses at St. Francis.
Services will be held on Thursday May 14, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Southport Presbyterian Church, 7525 McFarland Blvd., Indianapolis, IN 46227. Visitation will be at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Singleton & Herr, Southport Chapel, 7520 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis from 5-8 PM on Wednesday. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Thursday. Burial will be on Friday at Mahoney Family Cemetery in Bedford KY.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent to St. Francis Hospice, 8111 S. Emerson Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46237 or to the Melanoma Research Foundation, 170 Township Line Road Bldg B, Hillsborough, NJ 08844.
