Heinrich Böttcher immigrated with his parents and siblings in 1859 and the family settled in Gasconade County, MO. On 09 Feb 1876, he married Anna Katharina Drücker. Five children were born to this couple in MO. Supposedly because of Henry's health, the family moved to NE sometime around 1890. After Henry Boettcher/Bottcher's death in 1897, his widow married his cousin on December 21, 1899: John Boettcher (1865-1911), son of Wichman and Margaret (Koenig) Boettcher. In Nebraska, the name was spelled Bottcher.
