Meta Mary Boettcher immigrated to America with her parents and siblings in 1859. The family arrived in New Orleans 26 November 1859 aboard the ship "Edmund." Settling in Gasconade County, MO, Meta married Fred Albert Herman Seba there on 02 Jul 1876. In 1893 the Seba family headed west settling in Lorton, NE, and then by 1915, they homesteaded in Pueblo County, CO. Mrs. Seba's obituary indicates that she was born in Bremen, Germany, and that she and Mr. Seba had 14 children.
She was buried in Saint John Cemetery, Talmage, Otoe County, NE. The official name of this cemetery is Saint John Cemetery, and is more commonly known as McWilliams Cemetery. The cemetery is managed by the trustees of the Saint John Cemetery Association.
