Gesche Adelheid Drücker was born 11 Apr 1820 in Leeste, Districk of Syke, Hannover. She married Heinrich Boettcher 6 Oct 1837. The family immigrated in 1859 and arrived at New Orleans 26 Nov 1859 on the ship Edmund. By the time of the 1860 census, they had settled around Third Creek, Gasconade County, MO.

Mrs. Boettcher died 3 June 1899. According to her obituary, she had lived in the vicinity of Owensville with her daughter, Martha Adelheid Schuenemeyer (Christian), the last few years and suffered a stroke while visiting another daughter, Anna Katharina Neese (Louis), near Bland. The Lord had blessed the marriage with twelve children. She was survived by one son, five daughters, and one sister.

Contributor reports that the photo identified as Henry Böttcher and Gesche Adelheid nee Drücker, is not the same as the one in her possession.

THe obituary of Mrs. Boettcher's daughter, Mrs. Fred A.. Seba nee Boettcher (1854-1917) is below:

Mrs. Fred A. Seba died last week at her home in Tacony, Colorado, aged 63 years. Deceased was formerly Miss Meta Boetcher of this county, where she was educated and grew to womanhood. After her marriage in 1877 to Fred A. Seba, Mr. and Mrs. Seba resided on the farm now owned by Alb. Schalk on Third Creek. In 1895 Mrs. Seba and her husband moved to Talmage, Nebraska and later to their home in Colorado. Besides her husband she is survived by thirteen children, among them Mrs. Lena Eckhoff of Morrison (the Advertiser- Courier, 2 May 1912).
