Funeral services for Robert Galen Cherland, 43, former Blue Earth resident, were held Friday, Feb. 18, at All Saints Lutheran Church, Minnetonka. Interment was in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. He died Feb. 15 at University Hospital in Minneapolis.
Mr. Cherland was born in Blue Earth, April 22, 1928. He was a graduate of Blue Earth High School. His home was in Minnetonka where he was a directory salesman for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. He was a member of Richfield American Legion. He had been active in Minnetonka Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball programs.
Mr. Cherland is survived by his wife, Audre; two sons, Robert Todd and Jay Richard; three daughters, Lori Lynn, Susan Elizabeth and Lisa Ann; five brothers, Wayne of Blue Earth, Carroll of Rochester, Clarence of Estevan, Canada, Milton of El Centro, Calif., and twin brother Dick of Beaumont, Calif; and two sisters, Mrs. Kathleen Sohn of Blue Earth and Mrs. Alvina Kallestad of Miller, S.D.
