Mr. Rumbaugh was born in Mingo. He had been a grocer and corn and grain bin builder and was a veteran of World War II.
Among survivors are his wife, Luella; two sons, Michael of Des Moines and Harold of Colo; a daughter, Donna Schauper of Rockwell City; three brothers, George of Baxter and Paul and Reid, both of Mingo; three sisters, Bernadene Tinnermier of Newton, Eva Morrison of Collins and Fern Richeson of Rhodes; and nine grandchildren.
Friends may call after noon today at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada, where the family will greet friends from 6 to 9 p.m.
