Mrs. George L. Rumbaugh, 69, passed away at her home in Collins at 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held from the Christian Church in Collins, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. A.E. Weigel, pastor of the Methodist church, and Rev. Henry Esch, pastor of the Christian church, will officiate.

Burial will be in the Greencastle cemetery by the side of a son, who died several years ago, at the age of eight.

Fannie E. Kendig, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Bolster Kendig, was born Aug 24, 1878, in Illinois. She came to Iowa in a covered wagon with her parents when three years of age. The family settled in Jasper county, where she has since made her home in the Mingo and Collins communities.
She was united in marriage to George L. Rumbaugh, June 10, 1895 and to this union 14 children were born.

The 13 surviving children are five sons, Raleigh of Cambridge, Iowa; Reid, Paul and George Jr., of Collins and Harold of Mingo; eight daughters, Mrs. William (Elva) Green, West Des Moines; Mrs. J. E. (Ruby) Carver, Des Moines; Mrs. T. J. (Helen) Carver, Collins; Mrs. Clarence (Grace) Long, Farrar; Mrs. Paul (Mildred) Borts, Mingo; Mrs. J.E. (Eva) Morrison, Collins; Mrs. Robert (Fern) Richeson, Collins and Mrs. Lester (Bernadene) Tinnermeier of Newton. Also surviving are the husband 25 grandchildren and four great grandchildren, a sister Mrs. John Witmer of Collins, and two brothers, Sam Kendig, Elkhart, and Alva Kendig, Spokane, WA.

A mixed quartette from Mingo, Eldon Geisler, Otha Huise, Mrs. Harold Southern and Mrs. Lou Neal, will sing "In the Garden" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere". Mr. Geisler will sing a solo, "Sunrise Tomorrow". T. A. Christianson will preside
at the piano.

Mrs. Doris Duesbury, Mrs. Reva Morrison and Mrs. Lena Geisler will be in charge of floral tributes.

Pallbearers will be three grandsons, Lowell and Ralph Carver and Harold Long, and three hephews, Roscoe, Tracy and Alva Kendig.
