Bernadene I. Tinnermeier, 88, of Newton died of a heart attack Saturday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Newton, of which she was a member.
Burial will be at Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Tinnermeier was born in Mingo and lived in Newton most of her life. She retired as an aide at Skiff Medical Center and was a member of Jasper County Farm Bureau.
Survivors include her husband, Lester; two daughters, Betty Shrum and Karolyn Smothers, both of Newton; two sisters, Fern Richeson of Rhodes and Eva Morrison of Collins; two brothers, Paul Rumbaugh of Newton and George Rumbaugh of Baxter; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 8 a.m. Tuesday at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made her church.
