Mrs. Paul [Mildred] Borts, 63, of Mingo died Sunday morning at Skiff Hospital in Newton.
A Mingo native, she farmed near Mingo with her husband Paul, who died in 1974, for 20 years. They also ran the Borts Oil Company and store in Collins for 12 years.
She was a member of the Mingo United Methodist Church and the Ashton Sunshine Club.
Borts was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister and two brothers.
Survivors include her son Donald of Sigourney, sisters Mrs. Iva Green of Maxwell, Mrs. Ruby Borts of Baxter, Mrs. Clarence [Grace] Long of Maxwell, Mrs. Lester [Bernadine] Tinnermeier of Newton, Mrs. Eva Morrison of Collins, Mrs. Robert [Fern] Richson of Rhodes, brothers Paul, George and Reid of Mingo and Harold of Colo and two grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 at the Mingo United Methodist Church with Rev. Lester Hasseltine officiating and burial in Ashton Cemetery.
There will be a prayer service Tuesday evening at 7:30 at Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home in Baxter. Memorials will be directed to the family.
