George Brackin Sr.

TOWN CREEK -- George H. Brackin Sr., 88, died Thursday March 5, 1987, at Helen Keller Memorial Hospital, Sheffield.

He was a member and deacon at Donald Baptist Church and a retired farmer.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Donald Baptist Church, Town Creek, with Waymon Fike, E.H. McCollum and William Pullen officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Town Creek, Lawrence Funeral Home, Moulton directing.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Berchie Brackin, Town Creek; sons, William S. Brackin, Courtland, Carlton Brackin, Town Creek, George Brackin Jr., Florence; daughter, Nadine Bond, Hatton; brothers, Buford Brackin, Ortho Brackin, Herald Brackin, all of Town Creek; sisters, Mrs. Evilee Lansdell, Mrs. Udell Berryman both of Town Creek; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
