MOULTON -- Funeral for Prince Herald Brackin, 81, of Town Creek will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Donald Baptist Church in Town Creek with the Rev. Mickey Brackin and the Rev. Elmer Fowler officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mr. Brackin died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. He was born April 28, 1919, in Lawrence County to Henry Brackin and Ava McGregor Brackin. He was a farmer and a charter member of Donald Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. Mr. Brackin was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie Irene Brackin; three sons, Paul R. Brackin of Athens, Tenn., Brice Herald Brackin of Alabaster and the Rev. Mickey Daniel Brackin of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; one sister, Udell Berryman of Town Creek; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
