Jacob Balliet, the elder, and Barbara, his wife, of Lower Nazareth Township, Northampton County, PA, sold 70 acres in Lower Nazareth to their son, Daniel Balliet, of the same place for $5,250 on October 30, 1828. Recorded November 1, 1828. See Deed Book E-5, page 84, Northampton County, PA.

Daniel Balliet married Catharine Dreisbach on August 30, 1835 at the First Reformed Church, Easton, Northampton County, PA.

Daniel Balliet was listed in the 1840 census living in Lower Nazareth Township, Northampton County, PA. Only Daniel Balliet as head of the household is named. There is one male (15-20 yrs), one male (30-40 yrs), 1 female (<5 yrs), one female (15-20 yrs), one female (20-30 yrs) and one female (70-80 yrs).

Daniel Balliet, of Lower Nazareth Township, Northampton County, PA purchased 190 acres in Turbot Township, Northumberland County, PA for $6,550 on April 8, 1841 from Mathew McKinney and Elizabeth, his wife. Daniel Dreisbach signed the deed as a witness. See Deed Book CC, page 81, Northumberland County, PA.

Daniel Balliet and his wife Catharine, of Lower Nazareth Township, Northampton County, PA, sold 37 aces and 23 perches in Lower Nazareth to Jacob Herman, of the same place for $2,897 on May 1, 1841. Recorded May 4, 1841. See Deed Book G-6, page 229, Northampton County, PA.

Daniel Balliet, farmer and his wife Catharine, of Lower Nazareth Township, Northampton County, PA, sold 23 acres and 55 perches and another lot containing one acre and 7 perches in Lower Nazareth to Jacob Barnet, of the same place for $1,820.81 on May 1, 1841. Recorded May 4, 1841. See Deed Book G-6, page 230, Northampton County, PA.

Daniel Balliet, farmer and his wife Catharine, of Lower Nazareth Township, Northampton County, PA, sold two tracts of land - 11 acres and 4 perches and 3 acres and 10 perches in Lower Nazareth to Jacob Herman, farmer and Jacob Barnet, cordwainer, of the same place for $1,098.82 on May 1, 1841. Recorded April 13, 1846. The second tract being sold by Michael Neihard and Margaret, his wife, to Daniel Balliet on November 26, 1833, but never recorded. See Deed Book E-7, page 285, Northampton County, PA.

In the 1850 census, Daniel is living with his wife, Catharine, 40, three children – Catharine, 11, George W., 8, and Caroline, 5, his mother, Elizabeth Balliet, 83 and his sister, Rebecca Balliet, 37 in Delaware Township, Northumberland County, PA.

Daniel died in 1855. His death was noted -- "On the 14th inst., in Lewis Township, Daniel Balliet, age not known."

Daniel Dreisbach, brother of Catharine (Dreisbach) Balliet was appointed guardian of the three children by the Northumberland Couty Orphans Court in 1856.

In the 1860 census Catharine Balliet, 50, wife of Daniel Balliet, dec'd and her three children - Catharine, 21, George W., 18 , Caroline, 15 and Daniel's sister, Rebecca, 47, in Turbotville, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
