GRANITE FALLS-Mrs. Julius S. Lail, 77, of Route One, Granite Falls, died this morning at 8:20 o'clock in an area hospital. She had been in declining health three months.
The former Bessie Priscilla Bolick, she was born in Alexander County, May 5, 1890, a daughter of the late Enoch Bolick and Susie Elizabeth Flowers Bolick.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at four o'clock at Isaac Creek Church of God in Alexander county, of which she was a charter member. The Rev. W.O. Bowman, Sr., will officiate, assisted by the Rev. James E. Rogers and the Rev. Wilburn J. Edmonson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The body will remain at Adams Funeral Home, Taylorsville, until taken to the church to lie in state 30 mintues prior to the funeral hour. The family will recieve friends at the funeral home from seven until nine o'clock Saturday evening. The family will be at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Maudie Meyers of Granite Falls, near Isaac Creek Church of God. All regular Sunday services at the church will be canceled.
Surviving are her husband, Julius S. Lail; six sons, Frank Lail, Dexter Lail and Clyde Lail, all of Granite Falls, Doc Henry Lail of Hildebran, Gaither Lail of Taylorsville and Troy Lail of Hickory; three daughters, Mrs. Meyers, Mrs. Ralph(Rose Ella)White of Taylorsville, and Mrs. Bill(Maebell)Lane of Hickory; four sisters, Mrs. Edna Honeycutt of Claremont, Mrs. Texie Teague, Mrs. Dora Bolick and Mrs. Sally Lail, all of Hickory; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
