Taylorsville, N.C. - Rosella Lail White, 83, of Taylorsville, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory.
She was born Oct. 14, 1920, to Julius Sardis Lail and Bessy Bolick Lail in Chesapeake County, Va.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Ralph L. White; and six brothers, Gaither, Dexter, Fred, Dock, Frank and Troy Lail.
Rosella was a member of Bethlehem Church of God, where she worked as a Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir. She worked as an inspector at Madarus Hosiery for 25 years. Her hobbies were cooking, church, taking care of grandchildren and flower gardening.
Loved ones left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Shirley White Hubbard of Britthaven in North Wilkesboro and Dorothy W. Foster of Bethlehem; two sons, Charles "Bob" White of Bethlehem and Lewis L. White and wife, LaDonna McGee, of Chesterfield, S.C.; five grandchildren, Jacob White of Baltimore, Justin and Joseph White of Chesterfield, S.C., Todd Foster and wife, Pat, of High Point and Neal Hubbard of Bethlehem; two stepgrandchildren, Scott and John Persons of Columbia, S.C.; two great-grandchildren, Brandy Foster of Bethlehem and Jordy Foster of Connelly Springs; one great-great-grandchild, Johnathan Foster of Bethlehem; one brother, Timothy Lail of Bethlehem; two sisters, Mae Bell Lane and husband, Bill, of Hickory and Maudie Meyers of Bethlehem; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at Bethlehem Church of God Cemetery.
