Margret Dunn was born in Larue County, Ky., April 11, 1834, married to Wm. G. Edlen March 5, 1855.
To this union were born five sons and three daughters, all of whom are still living. They are William and George Edlen, of near Athens, Mo.; N. L. and Martin Edlen, of near Ashton, Mo. and Thomas Edlen; Mrs. Nora Sherwood, of near Kahoka; Mrs. Nettie Owen, of Illinois, and Mrs. Martha Adams, of Texas. She also had thirty one grandchildren.
She came with her husband to Clark county in 1855, where she has since resided. Mr. Edlen died April 24, 1881, and in 1882 she was married to Peter Smith, who died Sept. 18, 1899.
In early life she united with the Presbyterian church, but in 1893 she united with the Methodist Episcopal church at Oak Grove, where she has since been a member.
She departed this life Monday, March 4, 1907, at the home of her son George, near Athens, aged 72 years, 10 months and 23 days. Her funeral was conducted from the P. P. church at Ashton by Rev. W. C. Francisco, Wednesday, March 6, at 2 p.m. after which all that was mortal was tenderly laid to rest.
She was a good Christian, much esteemed and loved by her children and was ready and willing to meet her Savior, hence is at rest.

I have received and declined an edit to change Margaret's last name to Smith. While Margaret's last husband was Peter Smith, EDLEN is the last name on the headstone in this cemetery.

Suggested edit:
Margaret's bio says she was born in Larue Co., KY. This is incorrect. Larue Co., KY was created in 1843. She was born in Hardin Co., KY
