Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for Mrs. Frances Markway, 60, of 706 Walsh St., who died yesterday morning at St. Mary's Hospital. The Rev. Paul U. Kertz will officiate with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday at a local funeral home.
Mrs. Markway had been in failing health the past six months.
She was born at St. Thomas, Jan. 10, 1895, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Kolb. On Jan. 7, 1914 she was married at Clinton to Frank Markway, who survives.
Also surviving are seven children Everett, Ulysses, Francis and Donald Markway, Miss Carmelita Markway, Mrs. Ed Coffelt and Mrs. Joe Frank, all of Jefferson City; five brothers, Sam and William Kolb, both of Wichita, Kan.; Herman Kolb, Jefferson City; Thomas Kolb, Belle; and Steve Kolb, Portland, Ore.; six sisters, Mrs. Ben Stegeman, Rockford, Ill.; Mrs. Victor Renn, Mrs. Robert Adair and Mrs. Gilbert Larrison, all of Kansas City; Mrs. Leo Bax, Meta; and Mrs. Oakley Van Buskirk, Marshall; and 13 grandchildren.
