Jefferson City Post-Tribune, July 3, 1991:

Ulysses A. "Pete" Markway, 71, Jefferson City, died Tuesday at his home. He was born May 25, 1920, in Salibury, a son of Frank and Frances Kolb Markway. He was married Jan. 8, 1944, in Jefferson City, to Jeanne Cleeton, who survives at the home.

He was a retired contractor and a member of St. Peters Church and Roy Sone Post. No 1003, V.F.W.

Other survivors include: one son, Bob Markway, Jefferson City; two daughters, Becky Bell and Susie Becker, both of Lewisville, Texas; two brothers, Francis Markway and Don Markway, both of Jefferson City; two sisters, Carmelita Green, Taos, and Albertine Coffelt, Jefferson City; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peters Church. The Rev. John Condit will officiate. Cremation will follow, with burial at a later date. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Dulle Funeral Home. A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Nature Conservancy or Quail Unlimited of Mid-Missouri
