Sam J. Kolb, 53, of Wichita, died early today at St. Francis hospital, Wichita. He was born in Saint Thomas, Mo., and lived here two years. He was a carpenter in both Jefferson City and Wichita. Mr. Kolb was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic church, Wichita. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Edna Kolb of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Whiterock, Wichita; two sons, Jerry Kolb, McConnell Air Force base, Wichita, and Roger Kolb, Wichita; six sisters, Mrs. Tillie Stegeman, Rockford, Ill.; Mrs. Zita Bax, Meta, Mo.; Mrs. Barbara Renn, 1615 East Thirty-ninth; Mrs. Hattie Larison, 2115 East Thirty-eighth; Mrs. Edna Adair, 7210 Lydia, and Mrs. Oakley Van Buskirk, Marshall, Mo.; four brothers, Herman Kolb, Jefferson City; Tom Kolb, Belle, Mo.; Steve Kolb, Portland, Ore; and William Kolb, Wichita, and five grandchildren. Services will be at 9 o'clock Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic church, Wichita; burial in Wichita.
