Dorothy was the daughter of Fred H. Yerian and Stella M. Coffman.
She married 1st to Thurman E. Tomlinson (1942-2004). They had a son and a daughter.
She married 2nd to Neal McElfresh.

Jackson Herald, Mon, Feb 2, 1981:
Mrs. Dorothy McElfresh, age 61, of Jackson, Route 3 died 10 a.m. this morning (Monday) at Madison County Hospital at London after an extended illness.
Born in Ohio, she was a lifetime resident of the area and was a retired employee of R. J. Raynolds.
Daughter of the late Fred and Stella Coffman Yerian, she was preceded in death by her husband, Neal McElfresh in 1974.
She is survived by three sons, William Tomlinson of California, Donald McElfresh of Ray and Michael McElfresh of St. Paris, and four daughters, Mrs. Ira Purgit of Mechanicsburg, Mrs. Steven Kiser of Oak Hill, Mrs. Glen Linton of Coalton and Mrs. Sheldon May of Wellston.
Two brothers, Bob Yerian of Jackson and Edward Yerian of Xenia, three sisters, Mrs. Emma McCourt of Xenia, Mrs. Belva McCormick of Byer and Mrs. Winifred Fisher of Jackson, 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survives.
Friends may call at the Sperry Funeral Home from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Good Shephard Wesleyan Church. Rev. Nathan Thomas will officiate the last rites. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
