Belva was the daughter of Fred H. Yerian and Stella M. Coffman.
She married on December 13, 1928, to Isaac "Ike" McCormick.

Journal Herald, Wed, Oct 10, 1984:
Belva E. McCormick, age 70, of Route 327, Wellston died Monday evening at Holzer Medical Center.
Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Stella Coffman Yerian. She spent most of her life in the area and was a member of the 327 Holiness Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ike McCormick; three sons, James of Indiana, Talmar of Wellston and Charles of Jackson; eight daughters, Stella Salyers, Blanche Wells, Peggy Mercer and Arlene Music, all of Jackson, Ruth Leach of Oak Hill, Virginia Bittner of Florida, Anis Stewart of Indiana and Darlene Barbee of Piketon; two brothers; two sisters; 40 grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Mayhew Funeral Home until 9 p.m. tonight (Wednesday). The body will be taken to the 327 Holiness Church one hour prior to the service there at 1 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Raymond Patterson will officiate the last rites. Burial will be made in Evergreen Cemetery.
