CARRIE GRANVILLE SHERMAN, of Viola, Arkansas, daughter of the late Monroe Wood and Elizabeth (Rosier) Wood was born June 19, 1902 in Salem, Arkansas. She departed this life Saturday night, February 26, 1994 at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 91 years, 8 months, and seven days. Granville was united in marriage to John Sherman in November of 1926 in Viola, Arkansas, and to this union two children, one son and one daughter were born.
Granville spent her working years as a housewife and was a member of the Viola Baptist Church.
Granville leaves to mourn her passing; one son, Charles Sherman of Viola, Arkansas; one daughter, Betty Meyer of Hermosa Beach, California; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Pearl Smith of Thayer, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters and four brothers.
