Services for Clyde Wood were held in the Leo Carr Chapel at Thayer, Missouri, Saturday, November 25, 1972 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. James Henley officiating. Burial was in the Moten Cemetery by the Leo Carr Funeral Home.
Clyde Monroe Wood, the son of Monroe and Elizabeth Wood was born in Salem, Arkansas, August 22, 1915 and passed away at his home near Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, November 22, 1972 at the age of 57 years. A short time after completing school at Salem, he entered the united States Naval Service where he served until 1945.
On September 14, 1945 he was married to Jessie Smith of Salem, Ark. who survives him.
Other survivors include two brothers, Rufus Wood, Byron, Ark., and Clough Wood, Sturkie, Ark, Four sisters; Pearl Smith, Thayer, MO., Bertha Wood, Salem, Ark., Annice Reavis, West Plains, Mo., and Granville Sherman, Viola, Arkansas.
