COUPLE NEARS GOLDEN WEDDING

Daniels, Wasatch County, Utah--Mr and Mrs John Thacker will celebrate their Golden Wedding Sunday, Dec 17, 1944, at the Daniels Ward Hall.

Program at 3 p.m. A general invitation is cordially extended to all friends and relatives. "No gifts, please" is the word sent out by the honored pair.

Mr Thacker was born June 7, 1867 in Smithfield, Utah, son of William and Rachel Tonks Thacker. Mrs Eliza A. Thacker
was born Oct 9, 1872 at Charleston, a daughter of William and Ellen Winterton. They were married Dec 19, 1894 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Mr Thacker is a farmer and stockman. Both have held responsible positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Two sons have filled missions. One served in World War I. They are the parents of 12 children, ten of whom are still
living.

There are 37 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. One son and one grandson are in the Service. One grandson, Ensign Elbert J. Slade, recently lost his life in a plane
accident in Florida.

HEBER —- Mrs. Eliza Ann Winterton Thacker, 87, died Tuesday, 1:25 a.m. at the home of a daughter in Kaysville, of causes incident to age.

Survivors: sons and daughters, Ralph, Irwin, Horton and Afton, all Heber; Fay, Castle Gate, Carbon County; Weston, Mesa, Arizona; Mrs. Nellie Webb, Delta, Millard County; Mrs. Chloe Slade, Kaysville; Mrs. Aurta Rigby, Salt Lake City; 42 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren, sisters, brothers, Mrs. Malissa Thomson, McGrath, Alberta, Canada; Mrs. Carrie Davis, Charleston; Hyrum S., Salt Lake City; William and VeLeo, both of Charleston.

Funeral Friday, 1 p.m., Daniel LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call Olpin Mortuary, Heber, Thursday, 7-9 p.m. Friday prior. Burial, Charleston Cemetery.

Mrs Eliza Ann Winterton Thacker, 87, died Tuesday, January 12, 1960, at 1:25 a.m. at the home of a daughter (Chloe) in Kaysville, Utah of causes incident to age.

Survivors: sons and daughters, 42 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters:
Mrs. Malissa Thomson, McGrath, Alberta, Canada, Mrs. Carrie Davis, Charleston, Utah Hyrum S. Winterton, Salt Lake City, Utah; William Winterton and VaLeo Winterton, both of Charleston.

Funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Daniels Ward chapel.

Eliza Ann Winterton Thacker

Eliza Ann Winterton was the second child and their second daughter of Ellen (Nellie) Widdison and William Winterton.

She married John Thacker December 19, 1894 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They lived at Daniels, Wasatch County, Utah and were parents of: Ralph Alonzo Thacker born 30 Oct 1895; Ellie Rachel Thacker born 30 July 1897 died 29 Jan 1963; Chloe Isabelle Thacker born 3 Feb 1899; Fay Elgie Thacker born 24 Sept 1900; Hyrum Thacker born 29 July 1902 died 29 July 1902; Harold Thacker born 29 July 1902 died 29 July 1902; Irwin "W" Thacker born 8 March 1904; Thora Ann Thacker born 11 Dec 1905 died 7 July 1946; Aurtance Ellen Thacker born 20 Oct 1908; Horton E. Thacker born 19 Aug 1910; Afton Marriott Thacker born 6 July 1915 and John Weston Thacker born 21 Aug 1917.
