MRS. THOMPSON DIES SUDDENLY
-SUFFERS THE THIRD PARALYTIC STROKE AND PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Jane Cupp, wife of F.M. Thompson, died very suddenly at her home in Kirksville Monday afternoon, after being stricken with a third paralytic stroke. A few weeks ago she was stricken with the first one, but appeared to be getting along as well as could be expected, until word came that she had passed away.
Mrs. Thompson is well known in this city, having lived just one mile east of town before going to Kirksville.
Besides her aged husband, she is survived by one son, Walter Thompson of Marceline; five sisters and one brother, Mrs. Jack Bradford of Nickellton, Mrs. C.O. Francis and Rachel Francis of La Plata, Mrs. Alfred Ayers of Galesburg, Illinois, Mrs. C.E. Shearer of Kirksville, and William Cupp of Nickellton; besides many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Christian Church yesterday morning. Interment was in the La Plata Cemetery.
The heartbroken husband and other relatives have the sympathy of the entire community in their hour of sad bereavement.
