MRS. NANCY BRADFORD OF CHERRY BOX DIES
Mrs. Nancy Bradford died at the home of her son, C.M. Bradford near Cherry Box, Saturday, at the age of 72.
She was born in Knox County on Sept. 23, 1861, the daughter of Howell and Mary Cupp, and was the oldest of a family of twelve. She was married to John William Bradford about 52 years ago, and to this union were born three children, Aubra Bradford of Mexico, C.M. Bradford of Cherry Box, and one daughter, deceased. Mr. Bradford also preceded her in death.
Besides the two children there are also four sisters surviving, Mrs. Rachel Francis and Mrs. Mattie Francis of La Plata, Mrs. C.E. Shearer of Kirksville, Mrs. Alfred Ayers of Galesburg, Illinois; one brother, W.L. Cupp of Cherry Box; seven grandchildren, Clyde Cupp and Bernita Bradford of North Platte, Nebraska, Ted Cupp and Luke Cupp of Denver, Colorado, Mrs. Charles Snow of Ten Mile, Missouri, and Kenneth Bradford and Leona Bradford of Mexico, Missouri.
Mrs. Bradford was a member of the Mt. Olive Christian Church in Macon County.
Funeral services were held at the Cherry Box Christian Church Monday afternoon conducted by the Rev. F.M. Branic of Shelbyville. Burial was in the church cemetery.
