Frances was the daughter of Francis F Kelly and Elizabeth Frances Aldrich. She married Martin Drenkhahn on March 24, 1920 at Mapleton, IA. They were the parents of Doris, Clifford, Donald, Marvin, and one more son.

Mapleton, Iowa June 19, 1976 - Services Held for Frances Drenkhahn Monday June 21, 1976. Frances Annie Drenkhahn, daughter of (Francis and Elizabeth (Aldrich) Kelley) was born on August 20, 1896 near Mapleton, Ia. On March 24, 1920 she married Martin Drenkhahn at Mapleton, Iowa. To this union was born one daughter and four sons. Frances and her husband farmed in the Mapleton, Danbury, and Oto areas. Mr. Drenkhahn died in 1964.

In 1965 Mrs. Drenkhahn moved into the town of Mapleton. She made her home at the Willow Dale Nursing home at Battle Creek, Iowa since 1976. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary at Danbury, Ia and the Ladies Mite Society at Oto, Ia.

She died Thursday, June 17, 1976 at the Battle Creek Hospital having reached the age of 79 years, 8 months, and 27 days. Services were held on Monday June 21, at 11 am at the United Church of Christ at Oto, Iowa with Rev. Walter Enstrom officiating. Pall bearers were Leo Weber, James Weber, Earl Pierce, August Meyer, Leonard McDonald, and Aldre Scheer. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cem. in Sioux City, Iowa.

She is survived by her daughter, Doris, and 3 sons; Clifford, Donald, and Marvin, and 6 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one son and one brother (Herbert Aldrich).
