Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bruns were in Wheeling, West Virginia, when they were informed of the death of Mrs. Bruns' mother, Mrs. C. W. Zesiger of Spirit Lake. They had just returned their son, Irel to his naval base at Norfork, Va. after he had spent the New Years holiday at home. The Bruns family drove through the storms which hit the eastern states and arrived in Spirit Lake last week Wednesday in time for Mrs. Zesiger's funeral services. Irel will soon leave for a sea tour to Cuba. His wife has returned to Spirit Lake.
