John Hartzell

John Hartzell, 92, of 1804 Burns St., died in Macaluso Nursing Home at 9 a.m. today.

He was born in Clarion County Jan. 31, 1873 to William and Lavina Smith Hartzell. He married Elizabeth Knight. She died Feb. 5, 1920.

Mr. Hartzell was a former employee of Shenango Ceramics Inc. and the old Shenango Tin Mill.

He is survived by three sons, Chester Hartzell of Pulaski, William and Harry Hartzell of New Castle; five daughters, Mrs. Nettie Majesky of New Castle, Mrs. Margaret Dickerson and Mrs. Mary Lang, both of Albuquerque, N.M., Mrs. Elizabeth Fee of New Castle and Mrs. Harriett Duffy of Fontana, Calif., two half-brothers, Frank and Curt Williams of New Castle; and 22 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

A service will be conducted in the Robert A. Myers Home For Funerals at 3 p.m. Monday by Rev. J. G. Allison.

Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
