Mrs. Williams was born in Clarion, Pa., on December 13, 1853, daughter of Absolum and Kathryn Peters Smith. New Castle had been her home for the past 47 years and the Croton Avenue Methodist Episcopal, her church.
She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Hal Lawrence, of this city, four sons, John Hartzell by her first marriage, and Frank, Henry and Curtis Williams, all of this city, and two brothers, Albert and Joseph Smith, of this city, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Williams, of Butler. There are also twenty-seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Kelley funeral home and interment will be made in Graceland cemetery.
