Elma Gertrude Brininger

Elma Gertrude Brininger, 90, of Green
Springs, died at 1:40 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 1986, in Fremont Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since March 11.

She was born Aug. 22, 1895, in New London to
the late Grant and Gertrude (Kessler) Ship-
man. On June 28, 1937, she married Harry Brininger, in Adrian, Mich. He died Aug. 17, 1974.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. William
(Florence) Mizen Jr. of Tiffin, Mrs Betty Ben-
son of Reno, Nev., and Mrs. Eudora Sees of
Elyria; 19 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchil-
dren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. A
daughter, Marjorie, a sister and a brother pre-
ceded her in death.

Mrs. Brininger was a member of the Seventh-
Day Adventist Church in Clyde and had resided
in Green Springs for 40 years. She was a retired nurse.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at
the Engle Young Funeral Home, Green
Springs. Elder Walter Marshall of Mount Ver-
non will officiate. Burial will be in McPherson
Cemetery near Clyde.

Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. today at the fu-
neral home.
