Floyd was married first to Emily Leota Codding on July 6, 1912, and they had a daughter Juanita. They divorced March 8, 1919, he then married Elma Gertrude (Shipman) Burrows on April 10, 1919 and they had three daughters, Florence, Marjorie and Elizabeth. They eventually divorced in April 1931, Floyd never remarried.

IS BURIED AT 61

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 29 for Floyd E. Smith, 61, 140 Wheeling-av, who died at the Cleveland Clinic following a long illness. The Rev. Paul P. Brown officiated and burial in charge of Keith Andrews was made in Greenwood.

Born in Penfield, he had been an employee of the Sterling Foundry for the past 35 years. He was a member of the Wellington Eagles.

Surviving him are four daughters Mrs. Juanita Collison, Landover, Md., Mrs. Florence Mizen, Tiffin, Mrs. Betty Emery, Green Springs, and Marjorie Small, Lorain; two brothers, Claude of Shelby and Fred of Clyde; a sister, Mrs. George Hines of Wellington and 10 grandchildren.
