Wayne W. Shipman

Wayne W. Shipman, 91, of Green Springs,
died at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 1985,
in Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.

He was born March 8, 1894, in New London, to
Grant and Gertrude (Kessler) Shipman. He
married Alma Jo Shipman, in Miami, Fla. and
she survives.

Also surviving are sons, Milton of Oberlin
and John; a daughter, Mrs. Roy (Nancy)
Schwarzwalder of Oberlin; four grandchil-
dren; 10 great-grandchildren and a sister,
Elma Brininger of Green Springs. A brother
and a sister preceded him in death.

Mr. Shipman had lived in this area for three
years, moving here from Florida. He was a
member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church,
Miami, Fla. and had retired as a machinist.

Services will be held at 1p.m. Saturday in the
Engle-Young Funeral Home, Green Springs,
Pastor Gerald Small, Mr. Shipman's grandson,
of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lan-
caster, Pa., will officiate. Burial will be in the
Spencer Cemetery, south of Elyria.

Calling hours are from 6-9 p.m. today at the
Engle-Young Funeral Home, Green Springs.

Memorials may be made to the South Shore
Lung Association of Milan, in care of Nancy
Schwarzwalder.
