He was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Eagles Lodge, both of Hays.
Survivors include three brothers, Robert of Hays, Victor of Kansas City and Wilfred of Arvada, Colo.; three sisters, Sally Molleker, Ella Ross and Lillian Staab, all of Hays.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays, the Rev. Mike Scully officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays. An Eagles service will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a parish vigil at 7 p.m. at Hays Memorial Chapel, 20th and Pine, Hays 67601.
Memorials may be made to the Cancer Council of Ellis County. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
