Mrs. Catherine Ubert, 85, of 302 West Eight, died Sunday night at St. Anthony Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank in 1946, and one son, Francis in 1938.

Survivors include six sons, W. J., of Plainville, Alphonse, Robert and Walter, all of Hays, Victor, Kansas City, Wilfred, Arvada, Colo; five daughters, Mrs. Simon (Ida) Goetz, Victoria, Mrs. Frank (Hilda) Jacques, Ellis, and Mrs. Raymond (Eleanor) Ross, Mrs. Sally Moleker and Mrs. Frank (Lillian) Staab, all of Hays; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Jacob Shukman, Hays, and Frank Schukman, Kansas City, Mo.; and sister, Mrs. Mary Walters, Chandler, Ariz.

Mrs. Ubert was a member of the St. Joseph Church Altar Society. Her body will lie in state at Brock’s North Hill Chapel from 7:30 p.m. Monday until service time. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the St. Joseph Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
