Funeral services for Mrs. Sigrid M. Olson were held Friday, June 26, at 2 p.m. from Our Saviors Lutheran church in Nelson with Rev. C. P. Thronson officiating. Pallbearers were Harry Bedman, Jacob Smith, Walter Affeldt, Lester Hovland, Edgar Eddy and Joe Bothun. Interment was made in Kinkead cemetery at Alexandria.
Mrs. Sigrid Marie Olson was born in Lake Ida township, Douglas county on Jan. 23, 1895, the daughter of Gustave and Caroline Anderson. She grew to womanhood on her parents farm and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On June 30, 1920, she was united in marriage to Harry E. Olson. Mrs. Olson has made her home in the Alexandria and Nelson communities until seven months ago when she was confined to her bed at the Shogren Nursing Home in Alexandria. She passed away Monday evening, June 22, at the age of 58 years, 4 months and 29 days.
Surviving are three daughters: (Lenora) Mrs. Charlie Martin of Alexandria; (Alice) Mrs. Alfred Ollikain and Miss Marjorie Olson, both of Minneapolis. Also surviving are four sisters: Mrs. Alma Mathews of Minneapolis, Mrs. Harry Bedman of Alexandria, Mrs. Jacob Smith of Parkers Prairie, Mrs. Walter Affeldt of Alexandria, and one brother, Theodore Anderson of Alexandria.
Her parents, two sisters and three brothers have preceded her in death.
