Alfred Anderson, a native of Carlos township, passed away Monday, Jan. 10, at the Hibbard Rest Home following a lingering illness.
Mr. Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Anderson, was born Oct. 20, 1900, in Carlos township and was 48 years of age at the time of his death. He grew up there, being baptized and confirmed by Rev. Mattson of Alexandria in the Lutheran faith.
On December 28, 1926, at Alexandria he was married to Clara Schulke, who survives him. After their marriage they moved into a new home, in which they lived since. Mr. Anderson was blind for twenty-one years, following an accident. He was a mamber of the First American Lutheran church in Miltona.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Reuben Kluver (Alpha) and La June at home, and two sons, Gordon and Raymond at home, one brother, Theodore Anderson, of Ida township, and five sisters, Mrs. Jack Smith of Parkers Prairie, Mrs. Sigrid Olson of Nelson, Mrs. Alma Matthews of Minneapolis, Mrs. Harry Beckman and Mrs. Walter Affeldt of Alexandria.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 14, at the First American Lutheran church in Miltona, at two o'clock p.m., with Rev. C. E. Holmer officiating. Pallbearers were Roger Affeldt, Marlin Affeldt, Elmer Schulke, Norman Schulke, Charles Sundberg and Darold Zweig. Interment was made in the Carlos cemetery.
