Mrs. Clara Jane Palmer, 69, of 502 N. Fourth St., died at 8 p.m. yesterday at Memorial hospital where she had been a patient for the last month. She had been in ill health for several years.

Mrs. Palmer was born Jan. 15, 1882 in Manchester.

On Aug. 6, 1899, she was married to Charles A. Palmer.

Surviving in addition to her husband are five sons, Charles jr., Springfield; Lester, Chestnut; John, Springfield; George, Hobart, Ind.; Herbert, Salem; five daughters, Mrs. Mabel Walker, Roodhouse; Mrs. Inola Jones, Springfield; Mrs. Marjorie King, Xenia; Mrs. Isabell Earhart, Cincinnati, O.; Mrs. Frances McWorter, Kila, Mont.; two brothers, Louis Houghes, Centralia; Oscar Hughes, Kissimmee, Fla; 32 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Remains were removed to the Ellinger & Kunz funeral home.
