Annapolis, Md. -- Clarence J. "Jack" Staab, 83, died Saturday, Jan. 20, at his home in Annapolis. He was born June 4, 1906 at Catherine, to Carl and Anna (Walter) Staab.

He married Margaret Heil. She died in 1979. He lived and worked as a chef in Salina for 33 years. After his wife's death he moved to Maryland.

Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Staab of Annapolis, Md., Jacqueline Donohoe and Barbara Edwards, both of Orlando, Fla.; two brothers, Eddie and Jim, both of Hays; five sisters, Minnie Lang and Lydia Yunker, both of Hays, Irene Minter and Charlotte Ludes, both of Salina, and Alice Oaks of Wichita; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Caherine Catholic Church, Catherine, Father Michael Suchnicki officiated; burial was in the church cemetery. Ryan Mortuary.
