MAGGIE PETTIT
(born January 1, 1862 and only lived about three (3) months)

Maggie Pettit was born January 1, 1862 to John Wesley Pettit and Mary Jane (McMillon) Pettit.

I do not have a photo of Maggie, but some in her family are pictured on here.

Maggie was the first-born, but she lived for only about 3 months. She was born in Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama.

She had a brother, Benjamin Thomas "Ben" Pettit who was born after she was. Then, their mother, Mary Jane Pettit passed away.

Maggie's and Ben's father, John Wesley Pettit then married Mary Jane's sister, Etha Lucinda McMillon, and they had the rest of the children together.

So Maggie and Ben Pettit were half siblings to all of their other sisters and brothers.

Maggie's exact date of death and place of burial are not known at this time, but she would have died around April 1, 1862, and she would have been buried in Alabama.
