Funeral Rites Held Last Friday At State Line For Floyd Arthur Posey
Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the State Line Church for Floyd Arthur Posey, 46, who died Thursday morning at the Lincoln County Hospital after a short illness. Services were conducted by Harold Benson and Franklin Cobb with burial in the church cemetery.
He lived in the 12th district of Madison County, Ala., near State Line and was the son of the late William R. and Eliza Hill Posey. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie King Posey; one son, Raymond Posey; one daughter, Joan Posey; seven brothers, Ted Posey of Fayetteville; Martin, Robert, Dave, Albert, A. C., Thurman, all of Alabama; six sisters, Miss Annie Posey, Mrs. J. E. Stephens and Mrs. Alice Ashworth, all of State Line; Mrs. Lonie Honey of Huntsville, Ala.; and Mrs. Sterling Miller of Macon, Ga.
