Mrs. Marie Ames
Rosendale- Mrs. Marie, 61, a former employee of Ripon College, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ripon Municipal Hospital after a lingering illness.

She was born in Coloma on Jan. 29, 1902, daughter of John and Amelia Schmudlach Kaatz.

Survivors are five sons, Douglas, Beloit, Dewey and Arnold, both of Edgerton, David, Mishawaka, Ind. and Daniel, Ripon; six daughters, Mrs. Harvey Schwersinske, Edgerton, Mrs. Richard Schmidt, Port Edwards, Mrs. Oscar Sorenson, Maywood, Ill., Mrs. Marlin Kraus, Stetsonville, Mrs. Clem Heinzel, Richland Center, and Mrs. Clifford Nelson, Isanti, Minn.; sisters, Mrs. Garret Onk, Rib Lake, Mrs. Ella Leonard and Mrs. Alvin Junke, both of Berlin, and Mrs. Cora Beck, Chicago; and two brothers, William Kaatz, Tomahawk, and August Kaatz, Brandon. Mrs. Ames was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Ripon.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Carl L. Stubenvoli officiating.

Friends may call from noon Friday to noon Saturday at Butzin Funeral Home, then at the church.
