Norris Svendsen, 82, Buried Sat. in Folden Cemetery
Services for Norris Svendsen, 82, were held Saturday from Green Funeral Chapel in Thief River Falls with Rev. Berton Hushagen, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was made in Folden Cemetery. He died Monday of last week at Hallock Hospital.
Bearers were Vernon Olson, John Lokstad, Freeman Hiaasen, Marshall Myhrer, Lester Olson and Bruce Elseth. Deland Elseth was the soloist and Mrs. Vernon Nelson the organist.
Mr. Svendsen was born Sept. 29, 1900, near Newfolden where he attended school and later farmed with his brother. Since 1981, he had lived in the Kittson County Nursing Home at Hallock.
Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Setterholm and Mrs. Marie Pilon, both of Minneapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brede and Nathalie Hanstad Svendsen, four brothers and four sisters. Warren Sheaf, February 9, 1983
