She was the daughter of George Benham and Alice Wardrip Benham. Mrs Chappell was formerly of Irvington, Kentucky and the widow of Lawrence Chappell.
She is survived by one son, William G. Chappell of fern Creek, Kentucky; one daughter, Mrs Herbert Albright of Southheaven, Mississippi; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Pete Benham and Paul Benham of Brandenburg, Kentucky; two sisters, Mrs Roxie brown and Mrs Ethel Harrington of Brandenburg, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at Irvington Baptist Church conducted by Rev Clayton Rock officiating. Burial was at Cedar Hill cemetery directed by Alexander Funeral Home.
