Thad William Smith, 70, of 1867 Merritt Drive died Thursday at Wesley Long Hospital.
Funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Hanes-Laneberry Vanstory Street chapel with the Rev. Bill Armstrong officiating. Burial will be at Guilford Memorial Park.
He was retired from the Guilford County Department of Social Services and had lived here most of his life.
Surviving are sister, Mrs. Birdie Stukes of the home, Mrs. Carrie Stout of Burlington; brothers Tally W. Smith of Burlington.
The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. today.
