Maria Wilhelmine "Minnie" (Freise) Bieritz was born to Wilhelm and Friederike (Kori) Freise in Kendall Township, Kendall County, IL, on a farm located on Immanuel Road northwest of the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Wilhelmine was a lifelong member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was baptized on September 8, 1868, and confirmed on April 2, 1882.

She was united in marriage to her first husband, Georg H. Bieritz, on February 23, 1893. They operated a farm at the intersection of Immanuel and Legion Roads in Kendall Township. Georg died on October 27, 1893.

Wilhelmine was united in marriage to her second husband, Georg's brother, Hermann, on April 8, 1896. They owned and operated the farm adjoining the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, and they raised eleven children.

Wilhelmine was survived by her husband Hermann, her children: Gerhardt (Alma), Erick (Mabel), Herman (Evelyn), Reuben (Ruth), and Walter (Elorn) Bieritz; and Evelyn (Ernest) Hardecopf, Anna (Gerald) Sullivan, Esther Bieritz, Irene Bieritz, Rhoda Bieritz, and Ruth Bieritz; and several nephews, neices, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, and an infant son, George Heinrich Bieritz.

Funeral services were held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church on May 7, 1949 with Pastor Albert J. Gess officiating.
