Hermann Bieritz was born near Hannover, Germany, to Georg and Caroline (Strohmeyer) Bieritz. In 1868 the Bieritz family emigrated to the United States, sailing from Le Harve, France, and arriving in New York City on June 22, 1868. Hermann accompanied his parents, sister, Hermine Caroline Wilhelmine, and brother, Georg H. Bieritz

Hermann farmed in Kendall Township, Kendall County and was a member of the Eagle Threshing crew. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL. Hermann was united in marriage to Wilhelmine Freise on April 8, 1896.

He was survived by one brother: Henry Ernst (Wilhelmine) Bieritz; his children: Gerhardt (Alma), Erick (Mabel), Herman, Walter (Elorn) Bieritz, Evelyn (Ernest) Hardecopf, Anna (Gerald) Sullivan, Esther Bieritz, Irene Bieritz, Rhoda Bieritz, and Ruth Bieritz; and several nephews, neices, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilhelmine "Minne" (Freise) Bieritz, his parents, four brothers, two sisters, and one infant son.

Funeral services were held on August 2, 1952, at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Louis Heuer officiating.
