Reuben Friedrich Bieritz was born in Kendall Township, Kendall County, IL, to Hermann and Wilhelmine (Freise) Bieritz.

Reuben was a lifelong resident of Kendall Township and member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL. In 1939, he was united in marriage to Julia Ruth Findlay. He farmed the family farm and was a member of the Kendall County Farm Bureau and the Immanuel Lutheran Brotherhood. He also did custom welding.

Reuben was survived by his wife, his daughter Deborah Jane (Robert) Leppert; and his granddaughter, Danielle Leppert. He was also survived by four brothers: Gerhardt (Alma), Erick (Mabel), Herman, and Walter (Elorn) Bieritz; five sisters: Evelyn Hardecopf, Anna (Gerald) Sullivan, Esther Bieritz, Irene Bieritz, and Ruth Bieritz; and several cousins, nephews, and neices. He was preceded in death by his parents, his infant brother, George Heinrich Bieritz, and his sister, Rhoda Wilhelmine Bieritz.

Funeral services were held on March 19, 1979, at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Marvin Schroeder officiating.
